Splish Splash..... its Bath Time

Once I got your bath chair, you love taking a bath now! You grew out of your little tub pretty quick! Now you get to sit up in mommy and daddys tub and splash around.

My biggy girl......

You are learning how to drink from a cup. I got cups with handles so you could learn how to hold it. You are so cute trying to drink from it. Your getting close to getting the hang of it. You just need to hold it up alittle higher so that your not drinking air!!

Before I was your Mom

Before I was a Mom...
I never tripped over toys or forgot words to a lullaby.
I didn't worry whether or not my plants were poisonous.
I never thought about immunizations
Before I was a Mom...
I had never been puked on.
Pooped on. Chewed on. Peed on.
I had complete control of my mind and my thoughts
I slept all night.
Before I was a Mom...
I never held down a screaming child so doctors could do tests. Or give shots.
I never looked into teary eyes and cried.
I never got gloriously happy over a simple grin.
I never sat up late hours at night watching a baby sleep.
Before I was a Mom...
I never held a sleeping baby just because I didn't want to put her down.
I never felt my heart break into a million pieces when I couldn't stop the hurt.
I never knew that something so small could affect my life so much.
I never knew that I could love someone so much.
I never knew how much I would love being a Mom.
Before I was a Mom...
I didn't know the feeling of having my heart outside my body.
I didn't know how special it could feel to feed a hungry baby.
I didn't know that bond between a mother and her child.
I didn't know that something so small could make me feel so important and happy.
Before I was a Mom...
I had never gotten up in the middle of the night every 10 minutes to makesure all was okay.
I had never known the warmth, the joy, the love, the heartache, the wonderment or the satisfaction of being a Mom.
I didn't know I was capable of feeling so much, before I was your a Mom.

Six Months

Holy cow, I can't believe its been six months since God brought you into our lives. It has been a joy to watch you grow up so quick right before our eyes. At six months you have been eating baby food for two months and love it. You can push yourself up really well when your on your belly. You still haven't figured out the whole rolling over thing yet, but you'll get it. You have found your feet and when you lay on your back you throw your feet in the air and hold onto them with your hands. Your daddy and I love it, its so cute. We got you a bumbo chair to teach you how to sit up on your own, your learning that pretty good. When we sit you up without the chair, you are still a weeble and you tip over. But your getting there. I also got you a 'bouncer' and you love to bounce in it. You are so cute in it, at times you go nuts just bouncing like crazy. You still give rasberries and scream when no one is paying attention to you. A new thing you have started to do though is fuss and cry when daddy or I leave the room and you can't see us anymore. Its so precious, it breakes your daddys heart though. Now he hates to leave you even more!
You are such a smart beautiful little girl. Its going to be awesome to see how much you will grow, learn and change in the next six months. Hopefully though they will go a little slower the the first six months did! I love you so much my little princess! love mommy
